Komori customers win big at 2018 Irish Print Awards

The Irish Print Awards 2018 were handed out during the ceremony on November 30th, 2018. Over 400 professionals from the print industry came together to celebrate on this big night in Crowne Plaza Northwood, Dublin. The Irish Print Awards aim to recognise Irish’ best companies in the print and press sector.

With more than 175 entries to discuss, the judges were in for a hard decision process to select winners in all 31 categories. Komori is lucky enough to have four customers win awards, with Impress Printing Works even winning two. Impress, who recently installed the first-ever Lithrone GL-529 in Ireland, won both Book Printer of the Year and Print Finishing of the Year for ”Teeny Words”. Impro Printing Ltd won Brochure Printer of the Year for “Herbarium” and the award for Litho Packaging Printer of the Year went to KPS Packaging Ltd for “Hyde Whiskey”. Komori and its Irish distributor Portman Graphics Ltd sponsor the award for Small Printer of the Year, coincidentally won by one of our customers: Print Media Services for “Farmleigh Gallery – Face to Face”.

Komori UK Managing Director Steve Turner: “A ceremony like this is a good opportunity to see what beautiful products are made by printers in Ireland. We celebrate that we as an industry are able to exceed customers’ expectations with products of the highest quality. That several Komori customers have won awards is an honour for us, but above all, for them. They have earned it with their hard work, acquired skills and dedication to print. On behave of Komori, I would like to congratulate all winners!”
